Every great artistic story starts somewhere small. For The VERA TWINS, it started the way it always does — after school, brush in hand, long after the last bell had rung. What began as two kids staying late in high school art class has grown into a lifelong calling, and a body of work that now spans fashion runways, music videos, and the walls of some of the biggest names in culture.

The Vera Twins paint the way they’ve always moved through the world: side by side, in sync, each respecting the other’s space while locked into a shared flow state that turns two artists into one singular vision.

Equil — Equilibrium

Every piece the twins create carries a signature mark: a character split down the middle by a jagged, zigzagging line. They call him Equil — short for equilibrium — and he is more than a motif. He’s their philosophy rendered in paint.

From Union City to the World Stage

Based out of their studio in Union City, New Jersey, The Vera Twins have built a body of work that commands attention far beyond their hometown. Their art has appeared at New York Fashion Week and Art Basel, and has been featured in music videos for hip-hop artists including French Montana and Max B.

Their bold, unmistakable style has caught the eye of some of culture’s most influential figures — among them Kanye West, J Balvin, Carmelo Anthony, Jadakiss, Sheff G, and Omi in a Hellcat — as well as iconic New York jeweler Avianne & Co. The twins were also selected to create a commissioned piece honoring NBA star James Harden, presented when he received the Hardest Player to Guard award at the Compound MBPA event.
